If you decide that the product you purchased from us is not exactly what you were looking for, or is the wrong size, there is no problem returning it to us.
We will accept products back for exchange or a full refund as long as it is with its original packaging, receipt, the product itself unused or unworn, and returned within 14 days. However carriage will not be refunded, also where an item was sent and availed off free carriage and that item is returned for reasons not relating to a fault with the product, Basecamp will have to deduct the cost of carriage from the return/credit.
Should you wish for Basecamp to send a different size please be aware that a delay may occur where the order can be processed, if the product is not in stock. Or the customer can choose to pay the suppliers carriage charge normally €20. Our returns policy is flexible but we ask that items being returned are accompanied with a letter explaining the reason for the return.
Remember, before purchase, if in any doubt about size, colour or suitability of a product, you can email or call us with any queries about all of our products. We will endeavour to respond to emails within 24 hours.
Please note that we cannot accept any returns on rated safety equipment such as climbing hardware (carabiners, nuts); softgoods (harnesses, slings); or helmets etc. as we cannot resell these products. If you are unsure whether your item falls into this category please contact us.
If for any reason your order arrives with a fault or it has been damaged during transit, send it back to us and we will send you a replacement.
Please note that for international customers a postage charge is required for replacement items.
All the products we sell are covered by a manufacturers warranty, which will cover the product for faults and defects. This period of cover can vary, most items will be 1 year, but it is worth remembering that warranties do not cover general wear and tear. If you have an issue with a product purchased from Basecamp please contact us first and we will explain the procedure. Returned items with a warranty or repair issue should be clean and you will have to cover the postage cost back to Basecamp.
